Breakfast seminar – Held on 12th November 2019
This Breakfast Seminar session considered that at a time of global turmoil and uncertainty, we invited you to a thought-provoking session.
In summary of this excellent event, Lord Peter Hain spoke in detail about the ‘changing times’ in the broader international geopolitical arena. Our colleague from INCE solicitors commented on the possibility of potential staffing shortages depending on the outcome of BREXIT and how this may drive more automation in the future in the hospitality sector which may include digital check in and far more online services.
Andy Porter outlined Coutts Bank’s current funding policies and stressed the high levels of activity in the sector generally and Ufi Ibrahim, the Chairman of Hotel Energy and Environment Alliance, was most informative, speaking about sustainability and energy conservation and the long term options for the sector.
The event was at full capacity, with approximately 100 industry professionals attending, with the imparted information covering a wide range of current issues and provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to exchange views and discuss important issues affecting the sector. These themes will no doubt be expanded at future seminars and workshops planned for 2020.
